Japanese HNWIs held 44.6% of their financial assets as cash and cash equivalents as compared to a global average of 27.2% in 2017. They allocated the balance of their portfolios to equities (29.7%), real estate (11.2%), fixed income (9.6%), and alternative investments (4.9%).
